Drysol for Sweaty Feet
What is Drysol?
Drysol is a brand name for aluminum chloride hexahydrate. Drysol is a prescription medication for hyperhydrosis, or excessive sweating. Hyperhydrosis is a fairly common but somewhat annoying problem that can affect the underarms, and under the soles of the feet as well. Drysol has been proven effective for about 75% of those afflicted with excessive sweating. When applying drysol, recommend cleaning, drying, and then applying the product to the affected areas.
This therapy is applied every night until the excessive sweating is under control. This therapy may produce results after three or four treatments. After success, you can apply Drysol 2 times a week or as needed.
Drysol should not be applied to skin that is irritated, cut, or recently shaved. Drysol should not be applied during the day with other deodorants or antiperspirants. The application of Drysol does have a cumulative affect, and once the excessive sweating has stopped, you can use regular deodorants once more.
Some side effects for Drysol may include itching, rash and skin irritation. If any uncomfortable side effects occur, discontinue and consult your physician. The side effects usually stop when you discontinue the medication. Also not that the medication may stain clothing and metals that come in contact with Drysol.
