Good Hygiene For Proper Foot Care
What steps can I take to ensure that I am taking proper care of my skin and feet?
- Keep your skin clean and moist by washing with a mild soap and using a lotion or cream after washing.
- Drink lots of fluids, such as water, to keep your skin moist and healthy.
- 3. Drink 5-7 glasses of purified or spring water each day to keep your body hydrated inside and out. Below observe some of the health benefits of water hydration.

- Water removes waste products.
- Water provides a cushion for the vital tissues and organs of the body.
- Water Moistens oxygen for respiration.
- Water facilitates the conversion of food to energy.
- Water helps the organs and tissues to absorb nutrients.
- Wear all cotton clothing around the feet and other areas that may accumulate excessive moisture. Cotton allows the air to move around easier and airs out the feet better.
- Thoroughly examine your skin after washing. Try to determine if there are any red spots or other areas that would be at risk for infection.
- Be proactive and diligent about contacting a physician if you notice any skin problems.
