FOOT CARE QUESTIONS

No More Cold Feet
Without "The Big Ugly Problem" my cold feet would make me all done. With powder like this - who wants to be in the resort?

What are hiperhydrosis and bromphydrosis?
These are the medical terms for sweaty and smelly feet, respectively.

What causes feet to sweat?
Perspiration is our way of cooling down. It is increased from over-stimulated nerves or hardworking muscles, especially in tight enclosed areas and the confinement of footwear.

What makes feet smell?
There are 250,000 sweat glands in every pair of feet releasing a least one cup of moisture each day and more than one pint in active people. The notorious smell of feet is actually produced by bacteria that live on human skin. These bacteria are attracted to and eat the sweat, and in turn, excrete waste with a strong odor.

What causes blisters, and how can I prevent them? Blisters are created by rubbing moist skin. Dry skin reduces friction, and dry feet will eliminate or reduce blisters. (Aluminum hexahydrate will help keep your feet dry.)

How can I remedy the foul-smelling foot problem?
Foot odor can be kept in check by reducing the amount of bacteria on feet, and by decreasing the amount of sweat that collects on feet.

Can the Little Ugly Bottle reduce or prevent Athlete's Foot?
Absolutely. Athlete's Foot is actually caused by excessive foot sweating and bacteria growth, both of which The Little Ugly Bottle has been proven to prevent.

Why do some people have more foot odor than others, and how can I remedy that problem?
Everybody has a different chemical balance. Higher metabolisms, nervous dispositions, anemia, hyper-thyroidism and other factors cause some people to sweat more than others. Foot odor can be kept in check by decreasing sweat, therefore reducing bacteria on the feet.

What about anti-perspirants?
Over the counter antiperspirants decrease moisture; Benzoyl peroxide (5-10%) gel applications decrease bacteria. Drysol, a prescription antiperspirant, contains20% aluminum chloride hexahydrate, which is the active ingredient in most deodorants. These will terribly dry your skin. The Little Ugly Bottle has moisturizers that have been scientifically proven to help prevent that drying and helps fight irritation.

I have sensitive underarms. Can I use "The Little Ugly Bottle" under my arms?
Yes, it is a milder for of antiperspirant and has moisturizers to help relieve irritation.

Can I use "The Big Ugly Problem" in combination with athletes foot powder?
Yes, "The Big Ugly Problem" will help keep your feet dry while the athletes foot medication will work on the severe athletes foot.
